Here are my true feelings about these shows. I literally can’t describe how amazing they are. There is a true sense of PLUR in the room. I’ve seen him twice now (not as many times as some of the BNF) but yeah. Both shows changed my life. The people are so unbelievably wonderful. I just saw him again in Charlotte and I saw so many acts of PLUR. I gave away all of my singles to people who had no idea about kandi and trading and it felt great. It literally touched people’s hearts, like they told me they’d never lose the single. I was truly touched. After that, I saw one guy give a first time basshead a hug and say “welcome to the family.” Idk, it’s just a huge sense of unity among everyone and it feels wonderful. I was dancing my heart out, smiles on my face. I know that all of my textposts are EVERYWHERE but I just have so many feelings to tell you guys about. 

To anyone who hasn’t seen Bassnectar live, I assure you, it will be one of the greatest experiences you’ll ever encounter. Everyone loves everyone. Everyone is there to see Lorin get down.

PLUR.

I’m writing this to let you guys know my future plans for this blog. I know many of you probably just think of my blog as one that mostly reblogs and occasionally posts gifs, like most EDM blogs. Here’s the thing about that.. I plan to do so much more for this blog and the people following as I transition over to college this year. I’ll have more freedom, a camera, a better computer, and the whole nine yards. I plan to start reporting news in the industry, posting original photography from shows, and giving unknown artists some of the recognition that they deserve. 

I want to have a blog that works much like Dancing Astronaut or YourEDM. I know that I’ll need help from those of you who are passionate about EDM. I’ll need writers, photographers, editors, etc. I’ll probably be looking for you guys once I start to develop my new ideas.

Sorry for the wall of text, I just thought you guys deserved an update on my thoughts and ideas.

Just because you believe in and live by PLUR doesn’t mean that you have to think positively all the time and it sure as hell doesn’t mean that you aren’t entitled to an opinion.

I saw something on my dash earlier.. someone was saying another person wasn’t PLUR because of the shit they were talking about Avicii’s set on Friday night. Look, you should respect other’s opinions. I’m tried of people thinking that PLUR means “I think positive 24/7 and can’t think for myself.”

In all honesty, I didn’t like the set much at all and I LOVE Avicii. I give Tim props for trying something new and I commend him for trying to change the game, I’m just not in favor of the new sound. Does this mean I’m a narrow-minded fan who only likes repetitive, unoriginal bullshit? NO. It just means that I didn’t enjoy the set, that is all. Stop getting so upset about other people’s opinions. 

Please learn to respect other’s opinions, you’ll get much further in life. Everyone has an opinion.

I came home to see that I finally reached over 1k followers. You guys are beautiful, every single one of you. I just want you to know that this is all for you guys. I love you guys, so so so much.

I like how the people in the EDM scene on tumblr who should have ‘P.L.U.R’ for other people in the scene still take other peoples gifs or original work. Thats like saying “fuck you, I don’t give a fuck if you spent your time working on it i’m gonna take it cause I don’t fucking care and want the notes/followers”. 

Please just stop taking gifs and shit, it makes you look like an asshole.
